After looking through various magazines, analysing front covers, contents pages and articles and particularly studying the mastheads, I went onto study further, looking at five different online sites. They all focused on different genres, varying from heavy metal to hip hop. This analysis consisted of studying the orientation of letters, colours, typography and how the magazine has used these to attract their target audience. I found my masthead research sufficiently important and beneficial as it widen my knowledge on how typography, colours and such are used and also gave me a better understanding for when designing my own music magazine, which will therefore effect the impact of the outcome of my masthead.
